James come over after I had called 7 other paving companies. None showed but James. This was my first impression that he was honest and willing to work.
On my project, we just purchased the property and therefore, did not know the base that had been used for the current driveway. I.e. rock, gravel or million? How thick?
The job is for over 15k sq ft of asphalt.
James worked with me on the price!
He came out realized he could not lay asphalt on the small base. He then got 20 tons of crushed rock and put it down before starting the job.
I could see him pondering how he actually felt about the driveway. He simply had no option but to lay the asphalt that has already been purchased.
The asphalt turned out better than he expected.
Even though it’s not exactly what he liked, he offered me a deal to strengthen the driveway.
They are going to put down two large coats of seal on the driveway in early May. This will allow for him to strengthen the driveway at a minimal cost to me the homeowner. He offered the seal at cost to fix the situation!
Every project is different and comes with its own challenges. The difference is in how people react to the issue. He could have said nothing and I would been none the wiser. He didn’t just let me know if the issue, but came in with a solution.
Look there is no better crew on planet earth to get your paving done right and that’s the bottom line!!! I will use them as long as I still have air in my lungs and James is leading the crew!
